GAME SUMMARY |
On a chilly, drizzly day, the Road Warriors beat the Eagles 12-4 in a rain-shortened game. Bill Smith earned the victory with four solid innings. Led by Eric Dahlinger's RBI triple, the Road Warriors were disciplined at the plate with seven hits and eight walks. The Eagles were missing their pitching aces, so Max McGee made his debut on the mound. Immediately after the game, McGee was offered a long-term contract by manager Joe Ptasinski on the recommendation of team analytics guru Bruce Linn. A shout out to Eagles' right fielder Gary Gushulak for his web gem in the 4th inning. He robbed Dan Gebhardt with a diving catch on a towering fly ball. |
