GAME SUMMARY |
Lee Faugerstrom, Ron Sgarlata and Johnny Baseball combined for 7 hits and 6 RBIs as the Road Warriors beat the Naturals 11-6. The Warriors pounded out 14 hits, more than enough to support the excellent pitching of Bill Smith, Wayne Brenden and Skid Roe. Roe closed out the game, baffling the Naturals with his sneaky sinker. The Naturals battled back to tie the score at 6 in the 5th inning, but the Warriors scored 3 quick runs in the bottom of the inning. Gerry Oher, Joel Kaufmann and J. Baseball provided the clutch RBI hits. Great sportsmanship by both teams on a wacky weather day. Kudos to the Glenview Park District for the getting the field ready for play. |
