GAME SUMMARY
GRAY PANTHERS: Eddie Ortiz opened the inaugural season of the Fab 50 Vintage Division with a walk that set off a four run Panther scoring drive in the first inning against the Warriors.  The Panther bats stayed hot with 13 hits, scoring in every inning but the fourth.  Brian Walter and Scott Davis each contributed a two-bagger.  The nearly error-free defense held the Warriors in check behind the arms of Davis (who gets the W) and Wasem with the score reaching 8-7 at the end of four.  The fifth inning saw the Panther offense come alive once again (with a little boost from a couple of defensive muffs) but then Styskal stymied the Warrior bats for the last two innings to earn the save. ROAD WARRIORS: The Warriors opened the season with a disappointing loss, committing too many errors and leaving too many men on base. Despite the subpar play in the field, the Warriors fought back from an 8-0 deficit behind the timely hitting of Jeff Trotter and Dan Gebhardt. Congrats to the Panthers on a solid opening season win!
