WP -- S. Davis

GAME SUMMARY
The Gray Panthers held on to beat the Eagles in a game well played on both sides.  Kudos to the mound as Davis held the opposition to two runs off three hits while Didomenico kept them hitless and Joe Cataldo wrapped things up for the save. Defensive gems in the outfield by Marek and Ramirez kept several Eagles off the basepaths. Panther bats kept the Eagles busy garnering 14 hits in 31 plate appearances including Marek and Davis going two for three each and Walter and Mietelski going two for two each (welcome back George!) while Cataldo banged out a double.  A real team effort from everyone today. The Eagles continue to use the "rope a dope" strategy as we approach round #8.  Fine pitching by Lekich and McGee held the opposition in view.  A fielding gem by McCarthy kept the game close, but a lack of timely hitting by the Eagles led to the defeat.   Round #8 is when the Eagles plan to get off of the ropes.
