GAME SUMMARY
It was a game-changing at bat for Johnny Baseball with the Road Warriors trailing by one in the last inning. Fighting back from an 0-2 count, JB blistered a double to the opposite field gap, clearing the bases and helping the Warriors beat the Naturals 10-to-5. "I was only 50/50 the night before the game," he explained. "I couldn't let my mates down, so I got a good breakfast and took my hacks." The Warriors scored 6 runs in the 7th for a dramatic come-from-behind win over the naturally tough Naturals. The triumphant trio of Smith, Brenden and Roe limited the Naturals to 10-hits and only one walk. Ron Sgarlata had 3 RBIs, including an opposite field double that tied the game in the 4th inning. First baseman Lee Faugerstrom ripped two singles, including one that began the 7th inning rally. Catcher B-Mendoza had two hits and managed her pitchers through several tense moments. 2nd baseman Arlen Lasinsky made the play of the game in the 5th, knocking down a line drive and throwing from his derierre to get the force at 2nd base. Skid Roe closed out the game with his masterful sinker, getting a slow roller to third that Eric Dahlinger turned into a double play. "We thought we had 'em," quipped Naturals' skipper Darryl Johnson. "We'll get 'em next time."
